Before telling you about myself, I’d like to go back in time and return to the origins of remixes, to get a better understanding of my tastes in that industry which has brought throughout decades so many godlike talented remixers.

Firstly, I’d like to step back in time to 1974. At that time, night clubbing in New York went through a complete revolution. A man in particular, Tom Moulton, was going to upset history with an incredible and yet simple idea. How to extend the pleasure on the dancefloor?

Back then, DJs used singles that lasted about three minutes long. Obviously, it was not enough to satisfy the audience’s eagerness to stay longer on the dancefloor. «What about extending a single from three to six minutes?» said Tom Moulton. Thats how the extended version was born. We can say today that the first « extended version » in history, mixed by Tom Moulton, was «I’ll be holding on», by Al Dawning.
