GEWAND is Sebastian and Jan, two music producers from vastly different backgrounds. One is a wholehearted electronic producer from the very south of Germany with roots in techno and house, obsessed with analog synthesizers and detailed soundscapes. The other is a band producer from the very north who found his love for techno in college. They have been producing and playing together for three years now. GEWAND is the artefact of their opposites. GEWAND is ocean and mountains, chaos and order.
Their music is a kind of techno that takes place in the darker fields of the genre. Next to production and Djing the centrepiece of their craft is a techno live set. They deconstruct their studio tracks and reassemble them around a modular synthesizer and a drum machine to provide a different angle on the music and create a captivating live experience.
