Coming from a deep rooted musical background as a child Alberto Garanton (aka Funk Quijote) was dexterous in various musical instruments primarily the Tenor Saxophone. But in 1996 he heard the "true calling" and decided to pursue music as full time career. After graduating from Berklee College of Music and Audio Engineering School Funk Quijote has been playing and recording for the past 15 years uninterrupted. By 2004 he strayed away from his Jazz foundations and focused on his love for House and Techno composing more dance-floor oriented tracks and has been so since. But in 2010 he started experimenting with cumbia, tropical beats and latin american folk music with little help from good friends Cartar_sys (FAUNA ZZK Records), Villa Diamante, Dj Karim, ZZK Records and SubKlub Records and has been helping to develop the new sounds of the Tropical Musical Rennaisanse around the globe.
