Frican Deep, an artistic trio sprawling out of Soweto. Formed in the latter stages of 2012 by graphic designer - Johnathan Makhome Sithole and two musical friends Siphiwe 'Schots' Gumede and Bathandwa 'Bats' Ngcephe.
Frican Deep is an expressive collaboration formed by young talents who are using their music production, DJ'ing and fine/visual arts skills to tell their collective story.
Influenced by house music luminaries such as Lars Bahrenroth, Detroit Swindle, Deep Space Ochestra, Atjazz, Julian Gomes and Jimpster the trio have set their path to explore musical and artistic encounters. They have hosted numerous events within their home-town and have stretched their imprint far and wide across the Gauteng landscape, sharing DJ booths with the likes of Sir LSG, Lilac Jeans, Deep Xcape, and Hood Natives.
Join Frican Deep's DJ Schots at his monthly residency at Soweto's finest food market hosted every last Sunday of the month at the Soweto Theatre.
