Fly in the Buttermilk is an exploration of the Blues Aesthetic. By that, we mean: "How have Black people figured out how to make culture in freefall?" (Arthur Jafa, filmmaker). We bring this question to the to all folks through meditations with various Black artists and makers in the Oberlin, OH community. We then reflect on these meditations with curated playlists featuring poetry and music from ourselves and various powerful Black voices from the present and centuries past.
