This mix is a microcosm of some of the looser, more relaxed music, which I feel has influenced my own compositions at some point. From artists like Rutger Zuydervelt, and Ian Hawgood, soundscape composers like Chris Watson and Barry Truax, to the free-jazz experimentalists, and all-around space-cadets like Evan Parker, Zorn and Coltrane. They’re all here, in a punishing two-hour mix of exploratory Klezmer-Free-Jazz, and microsonic, electroacoustic, and ambient glitching. Please listen with open ears, free minds, and an ‘astro-cosmic soul’ (for the Sun Ra bits, mainly). Perhaps gently nodding/chin-stroking with eyes closed may enhance the overall sensory experience?
