Fine Sounds is a ONE PERSONS PROJECT started and run by Joerg Bankowski.
This guy is by no means a NEWCOMER.
Born in HAMBURG, GERMANY he was raised in ALTONA which is the neighbouring DISTRICT of the REDLIGHT-DISTRICT St. Pauli.
While being raised he developed a love for music that presented itself in the collection of VINYL and also old magnetophones with which he started experimenting.
These abilities developed further into MIXTAPES which at that time were sold in DISCOTHEQUES by their DJ’s.
But JOERG had different TASTE & MUSIC than the other local DJ’s and so got onto that small market and made a NAME for himself.
Not going on unnoticed he started his DJ-Career in the MEMBERS-CLUB which was located in HAMBURG-ALTONA and got closed by the police in the late 80’s.
The possibilities for a DJ were few at that time.These rather limited opportunities made him move to AMSTERDAM but after 6 months he got drawn further to the SISTER City of his native town HAMBURG-ROTTERDAM
