André Pollmann, known as Apoll, started making music in 1987 and became part of the growing Electronic-Body-Music scene, influenced by artists like Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Kraftwerk, and Depeche Mode. He founded numerous bands and contributed EBM tracks to various compilations. After moving from Duisburg to Switzerland in 1991, he left the EBM scene and turned to minimal electronic dance music. Apoll released tracks on labels like Gyro Trax and Sub Static, and in 2001, he founded his own label, Tongut, specializing in minimal, dub-inspired techno. Pollmann’s love for analog music gear and Kraftwerk led him to explore a wide range of styles, from EBM (as Fast-Head-Unendlich) to minimal tech-house on Tongut. His diverse discography reflects his passion for electronic music in all its forms.
