A radio station streams live from Art Dubai, the largest art fair in the Middle East. Interviews, sound pieces, experimental music & talks curated by sound artists Fari Bradley and Chris Weaver. Broadcast on air on Resonance104.4FM, streamed live from Art Dubai's website.
A commissioned project for Art Dubai 2013, created and programmed by Six Pillars’s producer Fari Bradley and ResonanceFM station manager sound artist Chris Weaver, the station serves essentially as an ‘ear to the fair’. Falgoosh Radio is named after the ancient tradition of eavesdropping around the time of Norooz (a lunar calender New Year which takes places at the Spring Equinox, during Art Dubai). The installation invites fair visitors to observe the normally hidden process of radio production, and listen-in live at the booth.
Elsewhere, and anywhere, listeners can tune in to a continual schedule of interviews and discussions with fair participants, plus sound works & fringe DJ sets.
