Started off as Nocturnal People around 1989-90where we use to organise coach trips and take 100 plus people all over the country to various clubs such as Hacienda, Back 2 Basics, Ministry of Sound, Shelley and Golden every other weekend as well as Soul weekenders such Prestatyn, Southport, Minehead and Caister.
We then started our own night at a small venue called Murdochs in Kidderminster 1993 and then moved on to a refurnished venue in Birmingham called Libertys (Toots downstairs) and this is when we changed our name to Fakin the Funk every Friday for around 3 years.
Over the years we have hosted nights at venues such as the Engine House, Benjamins, Bar Rumba, Picture House, The Swan and various venues in and around the Black Country.
