In 2014, his passion for his residence city of Piraeus led him to get involved in local civic life, and he was voted, with more than 14,000 votes - a record vote in the annals of localized council elections - initial member of the town Council, working closely with the city's mayor, Yiannis Moralis, to provide plans of urban renewal and regeneration across the municipality. Evangelos attended a good public school in Piraeus, Greece and in Watford, England. He then studied for a BA in 'International Organization Administration' and finished his research with a Master's Degree in 'International Relations' in England. He is married to Athanasia Kassioti.
