Mike aka Monochord was born in 1983 and started producing Electronic Music and DJ’ing in the year 2000.
He formerly produced under the aliases "Emtex" and "The Tape Headz", often switching styles between Trance, Progressive Psytrance, Minimal and Techno.
Nowadays, his sound style is a mix of Dub, Dubtech, Dub Techno, Mnml, House and other genres like IDM or Ambient, or as he calls it “Progressive Dub Tech”.
As a DJ he taps into various genres with Raw Techno, Minimal Techno, Tech House, Dub Techno, Deep Drum n Bass, Deep Dubstep and Progressive Trance/Psychedelic being his favorite to play.
He was a Resident DJ @ Klub Basis in Thun and played many Sets in Luzern in different Clubs and Bars, as well as playing at several Open-Air parties across Switzerland.
Currently he is one of the Resident DJs at Techno Connects People (“TCP”) which offers daily Live Steams on Twitch that cover a wide range of Electronic Music.
