Elekid - Return To Utopia

This was the first (and only so far) Freeform mix I've done to date. I've mixed Freeform in with other genres before, but until I recorded this mix, back in 2005, I had not made one entirely of Freeform tracks (minus the last two tracks on the mix). This mix was inspired by several years worth of bookings in Wisconsin by friends of mine who, when contacted me about the bookings, said things like, "I don't know what the hell you call that stuff, but I want you to play it at the next event." Freeform caught a lot of Happy Hardcore naysayers off guard. They were expecting to hear me play cheesy Happy Hardcore anthem sets. This style helped many people I know around here open up to Happy & UK Hardcore once they heard the styles all mixed together. I personally am in love with the acid riffs used in Freeform tracks. I've always been a sucker for 303 acid in electronic music. I hope to make another Freeform mix or three once I upgrade my gear. Enjoy!
