Electric café is a night aimed at getting a variety of music to your ears. The name seems misleading now, as in the first place it was meant to be pretty much completely electronic. Ultimately it's hard to play electronic funk like Model 500, the Yellow Magic Orchestra or Kraftwerk, without including George Benson, Arthur Russell or the Talking Heads.
People that play at Electric café are either open minded DJ's with diverse record collections, or live artists performing on synthesisers and modular setups (that bit stays electric for now!)
So the night follows our feelings towards music in general. If it's distinctive enough, it gets played.
