Deep Waters - vol 5

Deep Waters - vol 5

00:00

Deep Waters is a series that I will present the deeper more in depth side of Deep House , perhaps the more Minimal, Classic, Underground side of things.
The Deep Waters volumes will focus on the Acid, more Abstract, more Jazz sounds with many samples, speeches and vocals.
Volume 5 brings you a more intellectual listening experience where, in this particular piece I have explored key changes outside the supposed rules and borderlines of mixing in key, some of these transition were quite ambitious, this volume is right about in the same alley of my set called " Red Colored Sky ".
I hope Deep Waters vol 5 will captivate your attention & imagination.
These were the sounds that got me into mixing in the first place, I am very excited about this series!
Thank you in advance for listening, sharing, favourite and re-posting.

Stay true folks, Cheers!

Spark in the Dark transition was absolutely sublime, that bassline, yummm. Daydreamers Dream, well I am just a sucker for winds and the percussion is amazing on it. Something More is beautiful. Same thing, incredible sound design and alive drums. Sex - another mind blowing bassline and those slightly drifting piano stabs, sex is good, this is good, how do you pick one, amirite. DO BOTH!!! Can't find it, another one with cool sounds. Loved the set, lots of things that make my ear perk up and my booty shake it. Good shit bro. Primo :)

Knowing your multitude of flavors I was curious what I would find here. It starts darker, minimalistic, bass accented and flows into a retro sound of Undulations. An organic development getting into the multitude I expected, keeping the theme"minimal" and "acid" but showing different facettes and flavors. All flows into each other, it's like walking through a garden and getting to see and feel all it has to offer. Great the samples in Roughing It, they distract from the music for a second to dive into it again and breathe as LoHi comes in, a slight change in focus onto electronic sounds in Data Loss roughing the smooth blanket a bit, so Sunday Gathering can have the right impact. Again, some voices add flavor into the music, offer something to add some spice and on to Daydreamers Dream, a beautiful track and the trumpet solo gave me chills. My favorite so far in the selection, but then comes Away. I can only second Cheffls, it is a great tune, rich in sounds, so many different colors in it, voices, brass, guitars and the subtle beat carrying everything on. For me the peak in this set. Something more carries it on until it rests into the velvety plushness of Sex. I understand why so many like this track, it is cozy, it is warm, the soft deep bass makes it feel like a pillow you fall into and of course, Sex sells! A great finish with Can't find it, closing the circle to Phina, great choice picking up the minimalistic and subtle bass lead out to the set. A great composition as always, your mixing skills and the flow are beyond the slightest doubt, everything sounds organically grown together, flowing into the next track, only a slight change of mood and theme indicates the next track. A great buildup into more and more rich sound environment with a soft lead out so it doesn't sound like cut mid set. That's a great feel for the flow you always have in your sets. Something to admire, the way you sculpt the sounds to form a piece of art from many different parts. Great job and a great way to relax with one flaw, it is only an hour ;)
