I'M THOMAS
Hey folks, today I proudly present to you my probably most personal and intimate vinyl mix I've ever done. The story of the set - just me. So if you want to get to know me a bit closer, listen here.
I created this mix exclusively with vinyl again because i love vinyl. And if the transitions sometimes hobble - then *hey* it's OK ... not being perfect is also part of me. I do not have a "SYNC" button on my mixer, which I can simply press - in real life, I can not synchronize my life with the needs of society or something else by the push of a button ;)
Maybe you try to create such a musical self-portrait of yourself - would be very happy to spend an ear on you. I'm interested to know more about the people behind the mixes here. And how could you describe yourself better than with music?

My pleasure, man. I am very impressed you have some of these records on vinyl, that's amazing man. It's a pipe dream of mine to have a vinyl setup, maybe one day heh. So many amazing tunes on this one, feels like a meeting between old friends after a long time with you sharing the records without any extra words needed, the music speaks for itself and everyone feeding off the energy of the occasion. With One Glance is a super old love of mine and a sped up it sounds even more anxious and immediate. Jonny is an excellent take on a classic. Shadows is both classic sounding and timeless, just good food for the soul. Show Us Your Good is sooo daaaamn good. Epsilon Girls is an incredible housey disco goodness, that male vocal snippet really makes the tune. dOP are weirdos, love them, great tune. Excellent follow up with Flabbergast, cool minimal tune. Nice closer too, very jazzy and freeform. Love the selection, the fluctuations of the programming and mood. I can see why you'd pick it as your personal favourite, I loved it absolutely! Great set, brother, variety and personality in heaps.
WoW - I'm overwhelmed. Mate, I really can't find words at the moment. I was pretty sure that you'll like the set but that you give me such a feedback, I would not have expected. You just saved my day :) It took me a while to get the right vinyls for the set, and as you said, EVERY record is like a good old friend (such a fantastic metapher - great thinking mmee)

Super Mix und eine interessante idee das mit der "Story of yourself". Bei mir ist es so das fast alles was ich spiele irgendwie mit mir zu tun hat...... ok manchmal ist es nur um andere zu "unterhalten"..... keine Ahnung...jedenfalls ist das hier ein Super Set.....und bei deinem Set ist mir desweiteren wieder eingefallen, dass ich auch mal wieder was vom Robag Wruhme spielen wollte....... LG nach Dresden.!

In diesem speziellen Fall habe ich mir aber wirklich einfach mal die Mühe gemacht und mich gefragt, welche Platten nicht nur ganz gut zu meiner Person passen, sondern mich wirklich ausmachen oder geprägt haben. Das war wirklich ne interessante Geschichte und n guter Schritt in Sachen Selbstfindung. Kann ich nur empfehlen ;)

Amazing set, bud. Very personal and intimate after reading the description which provides perfect context for the mix. The selections make sense to me and are very introspective beyond the surface. Nicely sequenced as well.
