EWAADE was coined out of ELEWADE, meaning the real beauty has come. ELEWADE happens to be one of this unique contemporary gospel artist's name, ABIMBOLA FOLARIN OMOTAYO. She chose to use EWAADE as her band name because everybody, her father and husband most especially prefer to call her by that name.

EWAADE hails from Ogun state, and was born into a christian home of Mr and Mrs Tai Folarin, married to an OAP Olusoji Omotayo, CEO SOJ Productions, blessed with wonderful children, family and friends.

Her education background started in Lagos from primary, to secondary, to Nigeria Institute of Journalsm, where she studied Marketing. She took another to Lagos State University, where she obtained BSc in Banking and Finance, then she later decided to further her education in the United Kingdom.
