Self-defined as having ‘a versatile and well defined’ sound, DUBNEKTA started out in the music scene listening to broken beats and hip hop in the early 90′s.
This passion for music took him to the scene of Sydney where he would spend every weekend skanking out to the latest from the likes of Mark Pritchard and Monk Fly, which is where it all started!
After watching his mates throwing down records at... kick-ons, he decided right there and then to have a go at spinning and from there on out, it became his latest addiction, going out to buy his own decks roughly 4 years ago and he hasn’t looked back since.
DUBNEKTA has mixed with the likes of HERMITUDE, SPL, COTTONMOUTH, KURRUPT, DOCTOR P, BROKEN NOTE, DATSIK, UNSUB, MAJIIKA,
NOAH D, MONK FLY, MICKEY DUBZ, RABBLEZ MC, SUBLIMINAL DUBSTERZ, PUSHY VAGRANTS + SOME.
Rather than move to CDJs like everyone seems to be, he still mixes ALL VINYL, making him one of the last of a dying breed.
