August de Vries started out as a consumer of mainstream EDM, trance, house, tech house. That was kind of late, having skipped the house scene that started in the 90's, around 2009 he finally jumped on the bandwagon. A separation made clear he had missed out on live itself and now he had to catch up, also with the music that came with it. While touching dancefloors of clubs and festivals all around, his relentless dancing got him the nickname The Machine (credits: Arjan: Stroeve) Soon his focus shifted to techno and deep house, digging down deeper into the more underground sounds of the genres. When after a few years of growing new bonds and friendships he got introduced to DJ Morrizz. This man and the other newly made friends, spun his whole perception of what music was around. Additionally creating a curiosity for the DJ scene which started him making mixtapes as Droid Pylatis. He is now working under the aka Droid P. conquering dancefloors with a more progressive and melodic sound.
