I’m an accountant with a $50 a day music habit. Originally from the suburbs of Flint Michigan I relocated to the Tampa Bay Florida area about ten years ago
I grew up listening to WTAC the big 6 out of Flint and CKLW out of Windsor – two powerhouse-AM stations in the Midwest that made careers for rock musicians such as Bob Segar, Ted Nugent, Iggy Pop, Frijid Pink, Terry Night and the Pack, Teegarden & Van Winkle the MC 5 and numerous others. With the onset of FM, I listened to WABX, WRIF, W4, WJZZ and WDET out of Wane State. I count Dave Dixon as a role model and inspiration, as well as a host of other notable Detroit radio personalities over the years. Moreover, listening to Detroit radio taught me to be genera-neutral – there is so much great music in the world no one should get pigeonholed into any one genera and mixing generas to tell a story, make a match or just for fun is not only allowed, it’s encouraged. I hope you enjoy my music mixes as much as I do –
