I owe the name Dotz Method to my great-grandfather who was transported to camp Auschwitz, Poland during World War II.

In tribute to my great-grandfather, who was Jewish, I named my stage name after him. His last name was Dotz. Despite not having known him, I have a lot of respect for this man.

I am 35 years old, I was born near the city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. My love for music started very young. When I was 2 years old I already played on a small mini keyboard. Not very good or anything but I played the notes anyway. Later I started singing in a children's choir through school at about 9 years of age.

When I was 16 I was first introduced to a music studio program (DAW - FruityLoops). Here I start learning the basics of beat making and arranging tracks. When I was 19 I started to learn to play the guitar. Soon I was playing "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers and songs from AC/DC & Bob Marley and the Wailers etc.
