DJ KiDD Genius was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Early on, he acquired a wide variety of musical taste from family and friends. He grew up in a house where it was common to hear Motown greats such as The Temptation’s and Marvin Gaye, 80’s R&B sensations New Edition, and hip hop legends Notorious BIG and Nas. DJ KiDD Genius’ knowledge and love of music comes from all eras and genres.

He has quickly established himself as one of the best at his craft in Akron, and has branched out to the larger market of Cleveland as well. DJ KiDD Genius exudes a strong presence both on stage and on his mixtapes. With a unique style that stands out and demands notice, he makes sure every mix is precise and full of excitement. His hard work has been paying dividends as well. He was runner up in 2016 for Barley House annual Spinfest, but hopes to take home the title next year!!
