The Steel Devils were formed in about 1998 ish after the renaissance in Hip Hop DJing/Turntablism was in full flight and are one of the most successful Hip Hop DJ crews in the U.K. and Europe. Formed in 1997, they swiftly took the U.K. Hip Hop scene by storm with their blistering, no sell out routines in the DMC U.K. DJ team competitions. They went on to represent the U.K. in the I.T.F Eastern hemisphere championships despite tough competition from Europes leading turntablists. All of The Steel Devils come from grass roots Hip Hop backgrounds and are competition winners and DJ battle veterans spanning from 1989 up until the present day. The Steel Devils consist of DeeJay Random (Founding member and 2 x Technics/DMC champion), Jazz T (I.T.F. U.K. champion and DJ for Diversion Tactics), DJ Chud (DJ for Raw Division and Supertumba) and DJ Dixie (2 x U.K. Technics/DMC U.K. finalist and I.T.F. finalist).
