"The Middle Dream"

This is a shorter mix and one that, along with "Ungrown" kicked off my DJing revival after several years of exclusive focus on production and my professional life in education. One of Them's "My Bike and Me", for me anyway, infuses elements of trance-like synth sound into a sexy and deep tech-house body before Life and Death's remix of Pillowtalk's "Soft" guides us into an earnest and youthful deep-house space.. we are soon launched into pulsing tech-house heaven. There are some great tracks on this journey that illustrate the power of tech-house as a modern exploration of the urban mindset- most notably for me the Lauhaus remix of Superlounge & Den Ishu's "Get Back," a formative track in my process of carving of a new expression of my spirit through music post-hiatus. Purple Disco Machine's remix of David Jach and Betamines' "Roadtrip" snuck up and grew on me like a vine…Nectar Sweet. : )
