The tech-house duo known as, Dirty Guest, was formed in 2013. Jerika and Franklin started producing house music in Phoenix, Arizona. They first discovered their love for house music while working together at a coffee shop (the one with the siren). They learned the inner workings of Ableton and released some music under the project named, Color/Joy. After a few years of releasing music, they evolved and switched their name to Dirty Guest. Some of their influences stem from multiple genres while growing up. Those genres include House, Tech House, Rap, Hip Hop, Soul, R&B, Rock, Indie Rock, Reggae, and Jazz. Together, they've released their own music, independent of any labels.
