Aachen, Germany
In a small village close to Aachen in the mid-90s, Dex Dexter found his addiction to electronic dance music far away from big city clublife. Magazines like Spex or Frontpage, a weekly radio-show on BFBS1 and his side job at a local record store have been the most essential influences in these days.
Dex developed his very own and self-confident timbre of Techno and House-Music in an underground state of mind. While acid basslines and strings, percussions and chords are the backbone of his individual acoustic pattern, Dex’ capacity for tonal-empathy, musical communication talent and extensive range of artistic experience represent the the beating heart of his work as both: DJ and producer. Within this framework Dex remains true to his antithesis of an one-dimensional conception of sound, making Basement Disco Body Music.
