Poet, Playwright, Writer of Creative Non-Fiction and prose, Denise McKinney compiled and edited POETRY AS PRAYER: APPALACHIAN WOMEN SPEAK, an anthology funded by The Kentucky Foundation for Women in 2003. She lives at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Berea, Kentucky, USA, with her spouse, three sons and a host of four-legged mammals near a pine thicket called The White Pine Cathedral, a favorite writing spot.
