How's it going Steve, so this is your 100th upload? For some reason I assumed you surpassed that milestone ages ago. I really should be paying more attention ;-) What a power set to mark the occasion tho mate, this was really up my street. I wont name them all here but there's quite a few of my favourite artists here. I so rarely listen to house music these days that I don't even know if any of these are new tracks from them. I'll assume they are but it's just nice to see they're still pumping out quality choons. I'm gonna have to pick out a few coz it would be rude not to ;-) Let's see then, firstly it's gonna be 'Jango!' by Benny Camaro (you knew I was picking this one). That unmistakable French sound was always going to grab my attention!! Then it's Adri Block with 'To The Disco' (what a choon), the perennial hitmakers Block & Crown with 'Hope This Night Lasts Forever' (nice spinback into that btw), Amordex with 'My Way' (love the vocals on that one), and finally that remix of 'Heat' by Prunk. Another banger among bangers that one!! Still can't believe you've only uploaded 100 sets on here, I've got a way to go to catch you. And I've a feeling I never will ;-) Anyways, cracking mix again mate. Serious choonage from start to finish as usual and an ass kicker of a vibe!!

Here he is!! ... Yep, it sure is my 100th ... Not sure why you thought I'd done more than 100, although I guess it's been so many years since I started posting mixes here that it doesn't seem that far fetched to assume I'd already passed the milestone!! ... My first upload here was back in the spring of 2020, although it wasn't until 2021 when I started uploading sets on pretty much a weekly basis. At that point, I anticipated I would be hitting the 100 milestone by the end of 2022 or middle of 2023, but my output started slowing down, and I was only posting 1 or 2 sets a month at the most, so of course reaching the milestone was somewhat delayed ... and then last year I only posted 7 mixes for the entire year!! ... Anyway, I got there in the end ... In fact, this is actually my 101st upload, but one of my sets was removed by Mixcloud for copyright issues, which was a bit annoying, but it is what it is ... Glad you enjoyed these high energy house grooves!! ... It's not my normal style by any means, although I do enjoy tracks like this from time to time ... The tracks are a mixture of old and new, although the older tracks are not super old ... nothing from the 90's or 2000's here ... This "party" style of house music isn't my usual "go to" genre, as you already know ... I hardly ever play this style, as I prefer deep and soulful ... This is the first time I've played anything from Block & Crown for over 4 years!!!! ... And in that time, they've probably released more than 100 tracks, as I know how prolific they are with re-working old tunes from yesteryear ... But even though this isn't my usual style, I do enjoy throwing down a set like this occasionally!! ... Great tracks you picked out ... and I can tell you really do listen closely, as you noticed the spinback into "Hope This Night Lasts Forever" ... I've noticed a few DJ's overdoing it with the spinbacks and other tricks, but for me, less is more ... I let the music do the talking, but the occasional spinback or a bit of scratching can add something extra to the groove, if used sparingly ... but overdoing it isn't my style, and if you do too much of that kinda thing, you end up looking like a 13 year old kid trying to show off on TikTok 🤣 ... Just let the music play!!! ... We don't need 100 spinbacks and explosion sound effects all over the music!! 🤣 ... That Amordex tune is a gem, as you quite rightly pointed out ... piano vibes for days!! ... The Prunk tune is gem too ... Well yeah 100 sets isn't a rare milestone on this platform, as it seems some of the DJ's on here are already pushing 300 to 500 sets, and a few have even gone over 1000 ... I'm not in a race against anyone ... I just upload when I can. If I'm at a point where I have plenty of free time, then I can upload 3 or 4 a month, but if I'm too busy, then maybe only one set every couple of months ... just depends!! ... Not sure how long it will take for me to get to 200, but the journey begins!! ... Anyway mate, glad you enjoyed the ride, and something a little different from what I usually play!! ...
