DJ Tantrum
Queens-born, Puerto Rican-rooted, and shaped by the sprawling cultural soundtrack of Jamaica, Queens—from hip hop and freestyle to salsa and house.
He cut his teeth in NYC’s nightlife with mentor Kamrom (later founder of Young Black Teenagers), spinning at major venues like China Club, Latin Quarters, Jimmy’s Bronx Café, and more. His big break came with a residency at Crowbar, opening for house icon Victor Calderone, which led to his role at Power 105.1, New York’s top Hip Hop & R&B station.
Now a powerhouse event producer and nightlife authority—with 30–40 gigs a month across the tri-state—Tantrum also helps shape Hispanic culture on X963, the leading Latin radio station in the region.
