Samuel "Heat" Perez grew up in a small town called Winton, in Central California. In his early years, music was already a major part in his life due to the fact that being a DJ was something that ran in his family. At the age of 5, Heat was introduced to being a DJ by his uncle, Augustin Chavez. Thought of as just a hobby, his family had no idea that it would also turn into a successful career. His early start in music managed to give him a bigger spotlight in the industry. Heat's first big break came when he was founded by a local DJ named Fernando "DJ BoyTek" Gomez. During this time, he was a young new DJ who became a resident of Studio 47 (Formerly Club Rain) in Modesto, CA. Not only was he a hit resident at the nightclub, but he was a major sensation at other events & venues. After years of being a resident of Studio 47, Heat decided to call it quits & pursue the lifestyle of electronic dance music. To this day, he's not only a local favorite, but also an icon in the world of EDM.
