Born in June 1986, Aidil Dzulqarnain or better known as DJ DeeRookie started out as a Hype-Man at Club Avatar in early 2012. He then took interest in DJ-ing in early 2013 and was influenced by the music genre ‘Electronic Dance Music’ and ‘Latin House.’ Just like every other DJ, he started as a “Bedroom” DJ while learning the art of mixing music through internet as well as his friends.
He took another step further by putting up his mix tapes through many platforms of social media
and was well received. This motivated him further to work harder and push himself further in the DJ world to make his presence prominent.
Soon, he began doing events for various clubs such as Club Avatar, Avalon Singapore, New Asia Bar and Home Club. However, he did not stop there. He moved beyond his homeland and comfort zone, and did several gigs at Club Bakita (Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur) Hitz Club (Malaysia, Malacca) and Club Tavern and Hotel 101 Legian Pool Party (Indonesia, Bali).
