My relationship with electronic music began in 1988, walking through the doors of The Hacienda. The feeling was instant. I didn’t just want to listen to the music, I wanted to play it.
Influenced by US house / Detroit techno, I spent the early 90s immersed in vinyl, learning the craft and handing out mixtapes around Yorkshire and Manchester. This led to regular DJ bookings throughout the decade, playing alongside artists including Sasha, Erick Morillo, Jon Dasilva and Terry Francis.
I’ve always believed the blend is as important as the records themselves, creating a journey where one track evolves into the next.
I stepped away from DJing at the end of 2000, but the music never left me. Now I’m back behind the decks, exploring deep, progressive, atmospheric electronic sounds.
I don’t believe in good music or bad music. One man's noise is another man’s signal so If it moves me and takes me somewhere, I’ll play it.
