Hi all and welcome to my mixcloud, where I will be regularly uploading my DJ mixes.
My name is Darren, I'm 41 years old, I started mixing when I was about 14, using a Gemini mixer and 2 belt drive turntables before upgrading to a 4 Channel mixer with 3 belt drives and a cd player. Despite this I'm still only a hobbyist/amateur as I've never been comfortable performing for a crowd, I'm on the Autistic Spectrum, Asperger's, so I'm socially quite anxious, so kind of went off DJing for over 10 years and sold my equipment.
During Lockdown I rediscovered my love of mixing, Im now DJing using a Traktor Kontrol S3 and Traktor Pro3.
I play an eclectic range of music, Progressive house/techno, House, Tribal, Break beats, Pop, Rock and occasionally Hip Hop, Rap, Lo Fi/Chillwave, Drum and Bass and some more alternative stuff. I like a lot of atmosphere, and usually aim to take the listener on a musical journey.
