Born on April 1977, and raised in Highlands, New Jersey, Damiathin developed an appreciation for dance music at an early age. As a child, he watched his mother take dance and aerobics classes, while continuously absorbing the dance music being played all around him. These formative experiences cultivated Damiathin's passions for music and dance.

While he was growing up, Damiathin had many other hobbies, including surfing, writing, yoga, drawing, and fashion. However, he never quite knew what to do with his love of dance music. It was during his eighteenth year that Damiathin realized his one true passion. That year, Damiathin attended College to pursue a degree in Fashion Merchandising. While attending classes, he worked as a promoter for the Limelight, Tunnel, and Twilo dance clubs in NYC.
