Daitya is the psychedelic brainchild of Andrew Daniels from Calgary, Canada. For years Andrew has supported and enjoyed underground dance culture, but like many was instantly changed after his first experience with psychedelic trance. After years of exploration he found his home in the dark progressive realm; and now channels his sets and tracks through the constructs of The Daityas, who were an ancient race of mythological giants in Hindu scripture. These beings were split into two factions the light (Asura) and dark (Danuvas). This raw, animalistic nature is intentionally channeled into each production and performance which brings a dark, complex groove structure coupled with deep atmospheres and angelic soundscapes. The intention is to allow each participant to be completely enveloped by the shamanic, tribal dance experience and to offer fully ecstatic and euphoric journeys.
