Da Black Mic was born in Brooklyn, NY but Newark, NJ raised him. The love of music is apart of his carribean lineage, passed down from his father, the pioneer Trinidadian DJ “Che Che Big Beats”. Since the precious age of 9, you could find Da Black Mic spinning vinyl at family gatherings & events. Later attending & graduating from New Jersey's Arts High School & Bloomfield College.
Over the course of his career, Da Black Mic has achieved many accomplishments including selling millions of records, 2 Grammy noms & collaborating with the like of Boi1Da & Timbaland.
Most recently, Da Black Mic has been busy traveling the globe with dual roles as sound-man & tour DJ for major recording artist Bryson Tiller. Black Mic leaves his crowds elated and on a high throughout his sets. He is working to share his passion for good music with a world tour.
