After buying “Ghost Town” by The Specials at the age of 9 and being inspired by John Peel, became a rabid adolescent record collector. From Post-Punk and New Wave through to Hardcore Punk, Industrial and experimental, eventually started DJing at random parties and bedrooms in the South of England from 1993, eventually delving into the UK club scene after discovering Drum & Bass and Hardcore in the mid-90s. Disillusioned and unsatisfied, relocated to Kobe, Japan in 1999. Soon after became involved in organising events in the blossoming Japanese underground music scene, both in the established ‘noise’ of Kansai and the burgeoning new digital field of experimentalism, for over ten years. Started the record label APPLIANCE JAPAN with the debut release compilation LP “APPLIANCE 3” in 2004. Relocated to UK in 2014. Since 2020, a founding member and resident of the DJ collective ‘The Flipside Society‘. Has a tendency to play deep, dark and dirty.
