I’m Yen, and I DJ under the stage name “DJ Yen” for obvious reasons.
I was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and lived there till I was 16; I then moved to Australia and have been living here since.
My music taste changes from time to time like most people. Starting off with a profound interest in hip-hop, I am inspired by the likes of Kanye, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Travis Scott etc.
I have always been into electronic dance music/house, growing up in the UK, artists such as Calvin Harris and Disclosure, and Duke Dumont have shaped my taste in EDM.
More recently, I have been listening to/mixing tech-house, G-House, and future house. I’m loving producers like Tchami, Chris Lake, Oliver Heldens, Shiba San, Malaa etc.
