SynKult presents an eclectic selection of electronic music from a variety of genres, eras, and places that traces the social history and sonic evolution of electronic music from its inception to the present day. Commentary before pieces makes an effort to situate it within the historical and critical context. Come for the music, stay for the conversation! Sometimes features special episodes dedicated to specific themes, artist interviews, and even the occasional DJ set.

This sampler features, amongst other things, a deep dive into the origins of the "tearout sound" in UK dubstep (and later brostep) and an interview with British noise artist and storyteller James Thompson.
