SynKult presents an eclectic selection of electronic music from a variety of genres, eras, and places that traces the social history and sonic evolution of electronic music from its inception to the present day. Commentary before pieces makes an effort to situate it within the historical and critical context. Come for the music, stay for the conversation! Sometimes features special episodes dedicated to specific themes, artist interviews, and even the occasional DJ set.

This sampler presents, amongst other things, a DJ mix of '90-'96 jungle and breakbeat hardcore that remixes/reworks/heavily samples white pop (exactly why this is notable will be explained on air) and a series of electroacoustic tunes that probe the edges of what "electronic music" even means, including in interview with Toronto-based neofolk artist Avi C. Engel.
