DJ Mokes was born in Los Angeles, California. The style of his music carries many of his past musical influences. Initially influenced by the Hip-hop and turntablist movement when he was younger, His Mother Bought him his first turntable at the age of 14.
In September 2012, DJ Mokes became Hyro Da Heroe's touring DJ, They embarked on their first tour with a full band in the UK and Ireland in April 2012, In June, they performed at Download Festival in England. After watching the Friday performance, the festival's promoter, Andy Copping, added them to 3 more days on the bill, making them the first and only artist in the history of Download Festival to perform on 3 separate stages in the same year.
Mokes Has Performed along side Wu-tang Clan, Deftones, Cypress Hill, Hollywood undead, All that remains, Slipknot and many other respected Artist.
Mokes has gone on to incorporate elements of hip-hop and Spanish music in his Dj Sets.
