I've been DJing for about 10 years, started out back in the glory days of hard house and trance and then moved into funky/electro house and recently psytrance and dubstep.

These days I pretty much shun the 1210's and mainly use Denon HS5500 spinning platters with either a denon x1500 or an A&H xone mixer, with VDJ or serato. I also use a pioneer efx500 and a roland sp404 sampler. I sometimes use the obligitory CDJ1000/2000's when I'm in a club that has them insatlled.

With all my mixes and my production, the main message is that it needs to get to the point and when it does it needs to be either uplifting or fility, preferably both. Tech house is all well and good, and whilst I like it, I reckon theres more than enough room in the big clubs for something with a bit more energy these days. So most of my current sets are a tech house/electro/dubstep/pystrance mashup. If you've caught me at a free party or a soundsystem clash recently, thats hopefully what you've experienced
