I started DJing in the mid-90s in college on a room-mates DJ gear. Then for a stretch I was without my own gear and tried making mix-tapes by cutting up audio cassettes on a dual cassette recorder with lots of samples from records and cassette tapes from my childhood. That process, little did I realize at the time, has heavily influenced my sound as a DJ.

I still love trying to keep all my sets entertaining both musically and visually by performing along-side the tracks I play by adding loops, samples, scratching and turntables tricks to make it feel like a performance. To be honest it helps me stay connected to the music and I generally play tracks I really like so its a nice way for me to get to pretend like I'm playing along with the performers who created the tracks.

I love all kinds of music and love to mix up my sets with a diverse range of musical choices to keep it fresh - just makes it hard to fit them into a single genre. Hope you enjoy it - cheers! DJ Diagnosis
