After discovering his love for music through rap, DJ Young Ives directed his musical bliss to becoming a Disk Jockey once he realized how difficult it was to get DJs to play his music. Spinning since 2006, Ives has been able to lend a hand in artist promotion, management, development, and club promotion. Credited for his first popular independent mix-tape, “iRep My City” Hosted by Then Konvict Music (Akon) Singer/Songwriter Duo ‘Rock City”, iRep my City featured unsigned artist from the east coast, the mix-tape was well received from music lovers from Boston all the way to New York. Being a stand out in his craft DJ Young Ives continued to produced mix-tape to give to his “believers”. The Demand for a DJ Young Ives Mix-Tape grew fast so he continued to produce a minimum of two mix tapes per month mixing the latest in dance hall, hip-hop, electro and etc. “Music is made capture emotions all while being able to control crowds”, DJ Young Ives has done so time and time again mixing genres.
