I’ve been DJing for a long time, but I didn’t really fall in love with recording mixes until COVID shut everything down. Before lockdowns and social distancing, DJing was always about the room for me. The crowd. The exchange. Recording felt secondary.
When the dance floors disappeared, the lab became the outlet.
Mixcloud lives here as a repository. A place to document moods, ideas, and directions rather than chase numbers or trends. Some mixes are clean and intentional, others are exploratory. A few will probably get re-recorded later. That’s part of the process.
Sound-wise, the library runs wide, but the gravity is consistent. I tend to orbit hip-hop, R&B, funk, soul, disco, and house. Sometimes those genres stay in their own lanes. Other times they collide in the same mix. It depends on where my head is when I hit record.
This isn’t a portfolio. It’s a record of what’s been moving me.
