My Name I'm known by is Dee Jay Sound (D.J. Sound)... Get it right
Born Derrick Sales in January 15, 1971 on the west side streets of Chicago. Influence at a early age, learned how to play a piano on his own at the time he was in third grade. Never went to school of how to play a piano but can play exactly what he hear.
While hanging out with friends in the late 70's he would visit places like "Rainbow Stating Rink" on the north side or the "Hot Wheels Stating Rink" on the west side and watch DJ's like "White Boy Mike" do their thing spinning. He didn't mind much about it until a few years later, his friend DJ Ataka getting all the girls attention just by DJing. In the 80's being influence by the Hot Mix 5, he learned how to DJ by teaching himself by blending records with a drum machine. One time in high school he learned to beat box and was real good at it by making other sounds. Word got around quick when he met Taco Bops and joined a rap group called F.I.O. (Figured It Out)
