“Play Loud And Live In Peace…” This is Odwa Noah’s (a.k.a DJ ODWA) motto in life. It is also the slogan for his entertainment company SOLUN CONCEPTS (a.k.a SOLUN Music), which he is co-founder of, with friend and business partner, Koni Mazwai. Born in Durban, raised in the Eastern Cape, and then moved to Cape Town, Odwa’s introduction to music has managed to nurture his whole life into a unique existence among his friends and peers, whom he shares the musical gift with and more importantly, the supporters of what he now he has become within the South African music community. Around 1998/99, he started to DJ professionally at events around Cape Town, where he would combine 6 to 9 hour sets, and play across all the genres he collected. However it was the lure of Deep Soulful House that led to collecting music on vinyl, from stores across the country. In the late 90's Odwa presented on-air at UCT Radio, hosting a Deep House show which featured a whole host of local and international DJ's.
