At 13, I got hold of my first pair of belt drive Sherwood turntables and a basic two channel mixer. I started learning to mix old school house, garage and 80's Hip Hop vinyls given to me by my uncle. From that point onwards I was hooked!

Fast forward 15 years and a journey which has included club sets and a switch to a fully digital setup, I have now discovered a way to combine the two loves of my life, music and CrossFit.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning, functional fitness program that has evolved and grown to become a professional sport in the US. It's now also seeing rapid growth in the UK.

Over the last two or three years the number of competitive events for aspiring athletes, competing against each other in timed events, has grown massively and I have been lucky enough to take part in some of the best.

As a competitive athlete, for me, I see music as an integral part of these competitions and the CrossFit community. Pumping beats and heavy baselines have be
