A new comer to music production but a long time musician, Licks (aka. Ryan Blair) has already built a passionate life centralized around sound. Licks received his first guitar when he was 14 and he has had trouble putting it down ever since. Licks has played in several bands over the years, but none have really taken off the way he would have liked. So in an effort to create a lasting brand that can travel with him, Licks was born.
As he prepares to start production on his first E.P the man himself has been releasing a serious of mixtapes featuring energetic crowd pleasers with heavy trap, futuristic house, grimy dubstep, funky beats, and hyped hip-hop anthems. Drawing inspiration from funky dance artists like Big Gigantic, Griz, and Gramatik as well as live bands like Lettuce, Sunsquabi, and Papadosio; Licks will be incorporating the best of both electronic and live jams with funky guitar licks, booming bass and futuristic samples.
