In the DJ Game for over 10 years, DJ Kommotion’s music has evolved as music has progressed into all types of Dub and EDM, having been a top 40 breadwinner for a better part of his career. With deep hip hop roots, Kommotion was raised listening to everything from Michael Jackson to disco. The first two tapes he ever purchased were Run Dmc – Raising Hell and Beastie Boys – Licensed to ill. Influenced heavily in the grunge era, Kommotion embraced the intensity and feeling behind the music of groups like Rage Against the Machine. Later on in college, his tastes moved into electronic music where he was exposed to some of the best Progressive House, Breakbeat, Trance, Jungle music from around the world. Still playing top 40 infused shows, Kommotion prefers the electronic scene and loves dubstep sets yo.
